Home - Employee Engagement
Employee Engagement
The Gallop organization estimates that more than 22 million US employees are actively disengaged from their work, at an annual cost of $250 to $300 billion in lost productivity. Many employees who feel they are fed information instead of being allowed to participate in the organization's activities report higher levels of disengagement. Engaging your employees has a number of benefits. Among them are: - Reduced levels of employee turnover
- Increased levels of employee satisfaction
- Higher levels of intellectual capital (the collective ability to identify and solve problems)
- Higher levels of discretionary effort when employees are in it for more than a paycheck
Over the years, I've learned that structure determines behavior, and behavior determines results. Without a performance improvement model (structure) that engages all employees, this initiative can quickly become a pipe dream.
